How does the free trial work?
Starter, Growth, Scale, and Agency come with a 7-day free trial with full access. A card is required to start; cancel anytime before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
Why are seats not metered?
Per-seat pricing punishes you for growing your team. Pengo charges one flat price per tier with a pooled AI message allowance. Bringing on more teammates within your seat limit never costs extra. Read why we built it this way.
What counts as an AI message credit?
Each standard AI reply costs 1 credit. Advanced actions like booking a meeting or sending a follow-up cost 10 credits. Human agent replies and live chat are always free.
Can I change plans at any time?
Absolutely. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time. When upgrading, you get immediate access to new features. When downgrading, changes take effect at your next billing cycle.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and bank transfers for annual Enterprise plans. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes. When you choose annual billing, you save approximately 17% compared to monthly billing. That is like getting 2 months free every year.
What counts as a "seat"?
A seat is an individual team member who can log into Pengo to respond to chats. Visitors and customers do not count as seats. You only pay for the agents who actively use the platform.
Do you offer discounts for startups or nonprofits?
Yes. We offer special pricing for eligible startups, nonprofits, and educational institutions. Contact our sales team with verification documents to learn more about our discount programs.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
Conversations never get cut off. If you use all your AI message credits, AI pauses until the next billing cycle or you add a credit pack. You always see your running total in the dashboard.
