Approve from anywhere
Approve, decline or take over Pengo Actions requests from a phone notification, Apple Watch, email, Slack or the inbox, wherever you are.
On this page
Requests that wait for approval reach the people who can decide, wherever they are. Every request shows the customer, the action and the amount.
| Where | What you can do |
|---|---|
| iPhone and Android | Approve, decline or take over from the notification. On iPhone, Approve needs Face ID or your passcode. |
| Apple Watch | Approve or decline from your wrist. |
| Open the request and confirm on a secure page. High-risk changes ask you to sign in. | |
| Slack | Approve, decline or take over from the message in your channel. |
| Inbox | Approve, edit the details and approve, decline, or take over the chat. |
#Decline with a message
When you decline, you can add a message for the customer. Pengo sends it in the conversation.
#Take over
Take over claims the conversation, tells the customer a teammate is joining and keeps the action ready for you in the inbox.
#Reminders and expiry
If nobody decides, approvers get a reminder after 15 minutes, then managers and the owner after an hour. After 4 hours the request expires and the conversation is handed to your team.
Choose where you get approval requests in Settings Your profile Notifications .
Common questions
What if two people decide at once?
The first decision wins. Everyone else sees who decided and where, for example "Already approved by Ana via Slack".
Does a request ever approve itself?
No. Unanswered requests remind approvers, then hand the conversation to your team. Expiry never approves anything.
