Capture and qualify leads with Pengo
Turn on the lead playbook so Pengo saves visitors' contact details as leads, records their answers to your qualifying questions and offers a meeting.
The lead playbook turns sales conversations into leads. Pengo asks your qualifying questions as it chats, saves the visitor’s contact details and answers, and can offer a meeting once they qualify.
#Turn on the lead playbook
-
Go to Settings Conversations Lead capture and choose your website.
-
Turn on Enable lead playbook.
-
Add the qualifying questions you want answered, such as team size or what they’re looking for.
#What Pengo does
The playbook gives Pengo two actions, both on Auto by default:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Capture a lead | Saves the visitor’s name, email and other details they share as a lead. |
| Qualify a lead | Records their answers to your qualifying questions on the lead. |
You can set either one to Ask first or Off in Intelligence Actions . See Choose how Pengo acts.
#What happens next
- The lead shows up in Contacts, linked to the visitor.
- Once a visitor qualifies and a calendar is connected, Pengo can offer open times. See Let visitors book meetings in chat.
- With HubSpot connected, qualified leads are sent to HubSpot as contacts, with a note of their answers. See Connect HubSpot.
Common questions
Where do captured leads go?
To Contacts in Pengo. If HubSpot is connected, qualified leads are sent there too, with a note of their answers.
Do lead actions use the customer's identity?
No. Capturing a lead and recording answers work for any visitor; they only save what the visitor shares in the chat.
