Plans and limits

Pengo has a free plan for one person and one website, and four self-serve paid plans priced per person. This page lists what each plan costs and what it includes, so you can pick the right one or check a limit you’ve hit.

#Compare plans

Prices are in US dollars per month. Paid plans charge full price for the first person and a lower price for each extra person. The annual price is the monthly cost when you pay for a year up front.

A few notes on the limits:

• Conversations on Free are counted per website, per calendar month. When a website reaches 50, visitors can’t start a new chat there until the next month.
• AI credits refresh every month and pay for every AI feature. A standard Intelligence reply uses about 1 AI credit. Need more? Add 5,000 AI credits a month for $10. See AI credits.
• Training pages measure the content Pengo Intelligence learns from. One page is about 2,500 characters of text.

#What each plan adds

Free gives you the live chat widget, the shared inbox, saved replies, email notifications and the iOS and Android app. Pengo Intelligence isn’t included.

Starter adds the AI agent with 3,000 AI credits a month, unlimited conversations, Slack notifications and 60 days of chat history.

Team adds everything in Starter, plus:

• Copilot and conversation summaries
• Lead qualification playbooks, scoring and follow-ups
• Meeting booking in chat
• HubSpot and Zapier
• Unlimited chat history and monthly auto-refresh of training content

Business adds everything in Team, plus:

• AI conversation insights, gaps and sentiment
• Advanced analytics, agent performance and a weekly digest
• API access and custom webhooks
• Pengo branding removed from the widget
• Weekly auto-refresh of training content and a daily sitemap scan
• Priority support

Plus has everything in Business, but Pengo Intelligence runs on your own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key with no usage limit. There are no included AI credits: your AI provider bills you directly. See Bring your own AI key.

Enterprise is a custom plan with SSO, audit logs, white-label, client accounts, AI credits agreed in your contract and an SLA. Click Contact sales on the Plans page to talk to us.

#Free Team trial

Every new workspace owner gets one 14-day trial of Team, with no card needed. It starts when you set up your workspace after confirming your email, and includes 2,000 AI credits.

To keep Team after the trial, add a card from Account menu ›Billing . You won’t be charged before the trial ends. If you don’t add a card, your workspace moves to Free when the trial ends, and your conversations, contacts and settings are kept.

#How seats are counted

You pay for each person who can log in to your workspace: the owner plus every teammate who has accepted an invitation. Pending invitations don’t count.

When a teammate joins or is removed, your bill updates automatically and is prorated for the rest of the billing period. You don’t pick a seat number yourself.

Starter allows up to 3 people. If you’re at the limit, upgrade to Team to invite more. See Invite your team.

#Add-ons

• Remove Pengo branding hides the “Powered by Pengo” badge on your widget. Business, Plus and Enterprise already include it.
• Extra website adds one website beyond your plan’s allowance. You can add as many as you need. Starter is limited to one website, so for a second website, upgrade to Team.
• AI credits adds 5,000 AI credits every month. Stack as many as you need. On Plus, they’re a fallback while your own key fails. See AI credits.

Turn add-ons on in Account menu ›Billing . Extra websites are on the Websites line of the Plan card, AI credits are on the AI credits card, and branding is under Add-ons. An add-on you turn on is charged right away, prorated for the rest of the billing period.

#Where to see your usage

Open Account menu ›Billing . The Usage this month card shows conversations, websites, training pages, uploaded files and storage against your plan’s limits. Only the workspace owner can see Billing.
