Guardrails and limits

Let Pengo run actions on its own up to an amount and ask above it, cap what it can do each day, and choose who approves high-risk changes.

Pengo Actions Starter plan and up 1 min read Updated
On this page

Guardrails let an action run on Auto for the everyday cases and bring a person in when it matters.

#Set an amount limit

  1. Go to Intelligence Actions and open the action.

  2. Choose Auto, then set Auto up to an amount, for example $50.

  3. Above it, Pengo asks first.

#Daily caps

Cap how much Pengo can refund or change on its own each day. Once the cap is reached, further requests ask first until the next day.

#Who approves

By default, any teammate can approve low- and medium-risk actions, and managers and the owner approve high-risk ones. A teammate running a change above their own limit needs a second person to approve it.

Common questions

Where does Pengo get the amount from?

From the order or invoice itself, never from what the customer typed.

What happens above the limit?

Pengo asks first, the same as an action on Ask first.
