Pengo has native apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android. They connect to the same inbox as the web dashboard, so assignments, replies and notes stay in sync on every device.

#Get the apps

The apps aren’t in the App Store or Google Play yet. Store listings are rolling out.

In the meantime, request early access and tell us which platform your team uses. We’ll send a TestFlight build for iPhone and iPad, or an Android build. The mobile apps page has the latest on availability.

The Apple Watch app comes with the iPhone app. You don’t install it separately.

#If you see “Almost there”

The app shows Almost there when your account has no website yet. Tap Finish setup on the web to add your website in the dashboard. When you’re done, come back and tap I’ve done it, check again.

#After you sign in

  • Turn on notifications. On iPhone, Pengo shows a Never miss a visitor screen. Tap Turn on notifications, then allow them. On Android 13 and later, Android asks for permission. See Set up push notifications.
  • Set your availability. Choose Online when you’re ready to take chats.
  • Pick a website. If your workspace has more than one website, use the switcher at the top of the inbox to see All websites or just one.

#What stays on the web

The apps are built for answering chats. You still use the web dashboard to:

  • Change workspace and widget settings.
  • Invite and manage teammates.
  • Create saved replies (you can use them in the app).
  • Manage your plan and billing.

On iPhone and iPad, More Workspace settings and More Widget & integrations open the web dashboard for you.

#Sign out or delete your account

  • iPhone and iPad: go to More and tap Sign out, or Delete account….
  • Android: tap your avatar to open Settings, then tap Sign out or Delete account.

To delete your account, type DELETE to confirm. If you own the workspace, this also cancels your plan and removes your websites and their conversations. It can’t be undone.

Common questions

Is Pengo on the App Store or Google Play?

Not yet. Store listings are rolling out. Until then, request early access from the contact page and we'll send you a TestFlight build for iPhone or an Android build.

Do the mobile apps cost extra?

No. The apps are included on every plan, including Free. Anyone on your team who can sign in to Pengo can use them.

Can I create a workspace in the app?

No. You set up your workspace and add your website on the web. If you sign in before that, the app shows an Almost there screen with a link to finish setup on the web.
