Pengo Intelligence can book meetings for you. When a visitor is a good lead, it shows open times from your calendar right in the chat, and the visitor books with one click. The meeting lands in your calendar and the lead is marked as booked.

Google CalendarThrough Pengo support.

#Connect Cal.com

  1. In Cal.com, create an API key and copy it.

  2. Find the ID of the event type visitors should book. It’s the number at the end of the event type’s address when you open it in Cal.com.

  3. In Pengo, go to Settings Integrations Booking and choose your website.

  4. In the calendar list, choose Cal.com (API key).

  5. Paste your key into Cal.com API key, and enter the Event type ID.

Changes save on their own. The page then shows Connected.

#Turn on booking in chat

Meetings are part of the lead playbook, which qualifies visitors as Pengo Intelligence talks to them.

  1. Go to Settings Conversations Lead capture .

  2. Turn on Enable lead playbook.

Pengo Intelligence can then offer a meeting once a visitor is a qualified lead. Before that, it keeps asking the playbook’s qualifying questions. See Capture and qualify leads.

#What the visitor sees

  1. Pengo writes “Pick a time that works:” and shows up to six open times from the next 7 days. Show more times loads more.
  2. The visitor picks a time. Pengo books it with the name and email from the chat. If the visitor hasn’t shared an email yet, the widget asks them to share it in the chat first.
  3. A Meeting confirmed card shows the time, with a Join meeting link when your calendar provides one.

#What your team sees

  • The lead’s status changes to booked. On the contact in Contacts, the lead shows the meeting time, Booked in chat and the calendar it was booked in.
  • Your team gets a Meeting booked alert. Each teammate chooses how they receive it in Settings Your profile Notifications .
  • If HubSpot is connected, the booked lead is sent there too. See Connect HubSpot.

#Without a connected calendar

If no calendar is connected, or the calendar has no open times, Pengo Intelligence doesn’t show times. It saves the visitor’s preferred time on the lead instead, so your team can arrange the meeting.

Common questions

What happens if no calendar is connected?

Pengo Intelligence asks when suits the visitor and saves their preferred time on the lead, so your team can follow up.
